Most people who are interested in a long-term course, or want to get a glider pilot certificate, end up joining a gliding club as these normally offer some sort of discounts on lessons and courses. Flying gliders is not very difficult but does take practice. Gliding takes hand-eye coordination skills and muscle memory that the vast majority of student pilots are able to accomplish while working towards their license which requires a minimum of 20 flights and 10 flight hours.
