Who made the first V-twin engine?

The Origins of V-Twin Motorcycles The first V-twin engine was created by the German engineer Gottlieb Daimler in 1889. However, it was originally used for stationary equipment and boats. The first V-twin motorcycles did not emerge until 1902, when motorcycles started gaining popularity around the world. So even though Harley-Davidson didn’t invent the V-twin motor, they still had great success with it both then and now. Those early V-twins proved their worth whether they were on the sales floor, the race track or on the battlefields of Europe earning them an important place in the legend of Harley-Davidson.
