Can mini jet engines power a drone?
Micro turbojets are particularly favored in applications that require fast-climbing, agile aircraft that can perform complex maneuvers or reach high operational ceilings. These engines are also being used in expendable drones and loitering munitions where weight savings and simplicity of design are paramount. Turbojets have poor efficiency at low vehicle speeds, which limits their usefulness in vehicles other than aircraft.
