What is a high lift called?

Lob Wedge. A lob wedge has the highest degree of loft of any club in your bag at about 58-62 degrees. Lob wedges get your ball into the air quickly, (especially if you take a larger swing), and higher than any other club in the bag. There are four types of wedges; pitching, approach (gap), sand, and lob. We’ll review the loft of each in detail below so you can gap your wedges perfectly with the rest of your iron set.

What is the most common high-lift device used on an aircraft?

Flaps. The most common high-lift device is the flap, a movable portion of the wing that can be lowered to produce extra lift. When a flap is lowered this re-shapes the wing section to give it more camber. The incorporation of high lift devices allows aircraft designers to reduce the overall size and surface area of the wing reducing its drag thus making the aircraft more fuel efficient during the cruise phase of flight.High-lift devices on aircraft wings, such as flaps and slats, are designed to increase the wing’s lift at lower airspeeds, which is crucial during takeoff and landing phases. High-lift devices are critical aerodynamic features integrated into aircraft wings, including flaps, slats, and leading-edge devices.
