What is ACSS in aviation?

Aviation Communication & Surveillance Systems (ACSS) ACSS designs and manufactures products for all aircraft and helicopter segments, and supports products for air transport and regional airlines, business aviation, and helicopter, general aviation, manned and unmanned military aircraft operators. ACSS/TW, a nonhomogeneous conductor, is a trapezoidal shaped wire compact concentric- lay-stranded conductor made from aluminum 1350-O wires and round, coated steel core wire(s). ACSS/TW conductors with equal area or equal diameter as compared to ACSS conductors are available for overhead lines.ACSS is known as a high-temperature low-sag advanced conductor and has higher efficiency than its aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR) counterpart. It is capable of carrying more electrical load and sags less in comparison to the ACSR.

What is ACSS in optics?

Many of our optics feature the patented Advanced Combined Sighting System (ACSS®), a high-performance reticle solution that addresses the challenges of modern marksmanship. More About ACSS® ACSS distills complex mathematics into an intuitive layout that enhances a marksman’s speed and precision at any distance. The ACSS (Advanced Combined Sighting System) is a giant leap forward in reticle design that increases first hit ratio and decreases time on target dramatically. The Cyclops reticle combines moving target leads, bullet drop compensation, and range estimation into a simple-to-use sighting system.
