Is it cheaper to buy or build an engine?
While building can be cheaper than buying, it’s still going to cost you. As with any project, calculate a budget, and then figure on paying twice as much to finish the project. You’ll also lose a lot of time, since building an engine requires months, not days, of work. Cost-Effective: Rebuilding an engine is often cheaper than replacing it with a new or remanufactured one, especially if the damage is minimal. Labor costs are lower since you’re not installing an entirely new engine.
