What type of material is ceconite?
Ceconite is the name of a family of aircraft fabric covering products, all based upon a very special polyester fabric that has become a major industry standard. Shrinking is predictable and repeatable. ceconite fabric is simply shrunk to a predetermined temperature by calibrating an iron. That temperature is normally 240 degrees f. non-tautening dopes may then be applied to reduce the tendency to shrink.
